At New York City Ballet, Taylor Stanley is the resident shape-shifter, with an uncanny ability to mold himself to any mood or music. Now, the soft-spoken artist is curating a program for Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival.

Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival is back, and in a befittingly big way. For the first time since 2019, the festival will operate in a familiar—that is, resembling “normal”—fashion.

In his current position as director of preservation, he oversees exhibitions, the growing online resource Jacob’s Pillow Dance Interactive, PillowTalks, pre- and post-show lectures, and film programs. Owen describes his motto as having “one eye looking backward and one eye on what’s happening currently.”
