Tiler Peck: Suspending Time
October 24, 2025
A new documentary following New York City Ballet principal Tiler Peck over six years opens the San Francisco Dance Film Festival tonight. Tiler Peck: Suspending Time will be aired nationally as part of PBS’ “Great Performances” series, starting Friday, November 7.
The documentary offers a personal look into Peck’s daily life as she navigates major injury, personal loss, and an evolving career trajectory as she explores choreography. Directed by Alex Ramsey, the film includes rehearsal and performance footage of works by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Alonzo King, and Christopher Wheeldon. It also details the creative process of Peck’s 2024 Concerto for Two Pianos, her first commissioned work for New York City Ballet.
