Miguel Gutierrez Uses Movement to Make Sense of the World

by Sarah Cecilia Bukowski | May 1, 2025

Miguel Gutierrez stands at the center of a cluster of performers, arms curved elegantly overhead. He and the others are dressed in white leotards with long white sleeves and fabric that drapes like wings, as well as white knee pads and sneakers. The other dancers form lines on either sides of Gutierrez, hands clasping each other's elbows to form chains.
