The May 1956 issue of Dance Magazine celebrated the artists receiving Dance Magazine Motion Picture Awards, recognizing outstanding dance work in films released in 1955.

The January 1961 issue of Dance Magazine included this satirical contribution from Pulitze­r Prize–winning cartoonist Jules Feiffer, then a handful of years into penning his long-running comic strip for the Village Voice, in which this unnamed dancer was a recurring character.

In the July 1980 issue of Dance Magazine, senior editor Norma McLain Stoop reviewed the movie Fame, which had hit theaters in mid-May.
